Inner City Elegance
It’s not often you get the opportunity to work in a restored heritage building in the centre of Dunedin so when Anna and Josh contacted us about suppling trestles for their wedding we were thrilled to help.
Restored Hanover Hall was always the number one choice for Anna and Josh when looking for a wedding venue for their 120 guests.
Located in the centre of Dunedin Hanover Hall had a varied and colourful life before being lovingly restored by its current owners.
From former church to centre city night club before a stint as a student travel agency Hanover Hall is now home to the Dunedin’s Symphony Orchestra.
To make the most of the natural features of the building Anna and Josh’s vision included using long tables, timber top if possible, with no tablecloths.
Given the venue had been a church Anna and Josh wanted to keep the table settings simple to allow the beautiful windows to be the main feature.
To help achieve their vision Anna and Josh hired 14 of our locally milled macrocarpa wooden trestles. I think you’ll agree that the day captured by Simone Barr Photography reflects their vision without detracting from the grandeur and magnificence of the building.
